Mission Statement Blackpitch

I.Purpose Statement

There is a lot of freely available technical documentation in subject of electronics and software development, but lack completeness and/or coherence. A lot of technical content on the internet:

• Imply that special knowledge is present by the reader;
• Supply no mathematical foundations;
• Don't address design decisions;
• Supply only build and/or user instructions.

The goal of Blackpitch is to increase the quality of technical documentation in the field of electronics and software development by providing completeness and coherence of information. Blackpitch targets the intermediate level technology enthusiast/hacker with affinity with mathematics.

II.Business Statement

The core activity of Blackpitch is to deliver high quality technical content in the form of articles, tutorials, books and by executing technical research and development projects. Blackpitch aims to present all content on a coherent way and to guard for completeness. The projects will be well documented and organized according to well proven project management principles. All information shall be open to the public under some "free" license. Hopefully Blackpitch will bound public to itself to form a community where knowledge is freely exchanged. This will eventually result in more and better content.

III.Values

• Blackpitch's political values correspond with the ones stated in "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" (http://www.un.org/Overview/rights.html);
• Blackpitch advocates the use of free licenses i.e. information should be free (source code, schematics, documentation);
• The previous statement does not mean that Blackpitch discriminates users of propietary products;
• Use the right tool for the right job;
• Use a tool that fits your way of thinking, within the boundaries of the previous statement;
• Nobody is the same, people are different, so are the workings of there minds;
• Blackpitch condemns flamewars, and so it will not contribute to them.
